Kamal Haasan's Aalavandhan gets digitalized

Almost 17 years after its initial release, Kamal Haasan starrer Aalavandhan, one of the front-runner films on magic realism in India is all set to get digitally remastered now. The announcement has come from the orginal producer of the movie, Kalaipuli S Thanu of V Creations. The digitized version of this cult psychological thriller, which had Haasan in a double role will be released across 500 theatres in Tamil Nadu.

Interestingly, Aalavandhan is director Suresh Krissna's second film (after Rajinikanth starrer Baasha) from the second last decade to get digitized in recent times. The film was originally written by Kamal Haasan based on his own novel Dayam and had Raveena Tandon and Maneesha Koirala for the female star cast. Music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have scored the numbers for this movie.
