Devi Sri Prasad replaces Harris Jayaraj in Saamy 2

Earlier, the makers of Saamy 2 had announced that Harris Jayaraj will be scoring music for the sequel of 2003 blockbuster 'Saamy'. However, in the recent press release, the makers have officially confirmed that Devi Sri Prasad will be scoring music for Saamy 2.   

According to industry sources, the makers have opted out of Harris due to the remuneration issues and keeping in mind the previous successes of Devi Sri Prasad - Hari combo, the makers have now signed in Devi Sri Prasad to score the music.  

With Story, screenplay, dialogues and direction by Hari, Saamy 2 is the sequel to the 2003 blockbuster Saamy and is the second franchise (after Singham) of the director's. Lead actor Vikram will be seen reprising the role of police officer Aarusaamy in this sequel. Trisha and Keerthy Suresh will be playing the female lead roles.
