Richa out, Hansika in Karthi's Biriyani!!!
Venkat Prabhu's next film 'Biriyani' is one of the most awaited film. The film stars Karthi in the lead and Richa was to play the female lead. The latest development is that Hansika will be playing the the lead while Richa has opted out of the project. Richa had tweeted, "Opted out of Biriyani due to changes in the role and script. Thanks to Venkat Prabhu sir for accepting my decision. Hope I get to work with him in the future"
Hansika has confirmed the news in her microblog. She had tweeted, "I have signed Sundar C sir's movie 'Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru' and Mr. Venkat Prabhu sir's Biriyani." Hansika's platter is full with around half a dozen films in Tamil apart from her Telugu projects. The pretty lass is part of Settai, Vettaimannan, Vaalu, Singam 2, Biriyani, Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru. Biriyani is likely to start rolling from next week.
Amy in Shankar's 'I'
The shooting of Vikram, Amy Jackson starrer I directed by Shankar is currently happening in China. Amy has tweeted, "Reached our new China spot, it's where Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was filmed!" A. R. Rahman scores the music for this romantic thriller.
Vikram Prabhu's next film gets a title
Vikram Prabhu has started shooting for his next film after Kumki with director Saravanan of 'Engeyum Eppothum' fame. The film has been titled 'Ivan Veramathiri'. Lingusamy's Thirrupathi Brothers is producing the film. Vikram Prabhu's debut film 'Kumki' is expected to hit the screens for Diwali.
Settai audio in December
Settai starring Arya, Santhanam, Hansika, Anjali and Premgi Amaren is slated for a Pongal release. The team was shooting in Mumbai for the last two weeks and has wrapped up the schedule. 75% of the film is done and the remaining film to be completed by next month. The audio of the film will be out in December. Dhananjayan of UTV has said, "Settai music will release in December. We hope to get the balance two songs from Thaman soon to make this happen"
Santhanam in Udaynidhi's next?
Udayanidhi Stalin recently announced about his next film after Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. The actor-producer will team up with Prabhakaran of Sundarapandian fame for an untitled project which is touted to be a comedy entertainer. Santhanam who teamed up with Udayanidhi in his debut venture is said to be playing an important role in his second film too. Harris Jayaraj is likely to compose the music for the film. The other details regarding the film will be announced soon. Santhanam who was wrapped a schedule of Settai in Mumbai has joined Singam 2 team for the shooting.
Priyadarshan's Rangrezz Trailer
Rangrezz is an upcoming Bollywood film starring Jackky Bhagnani and Priya Anand in lead roles directed by Priyadarshan. The film is a remake of Tamil film 'Nadodigal' and is produced by Vashu Bhagnani. Cinematography by Santhosh Sivan.
