Karthi's most awaited 'Alex Pandian' which was to release on December 14 has now been pushed to Pongal. Alex Pandian starring Karthi, Santhanam and Anushkha will hit the screens next year for Pongal. The film touted to be an action entertainer is directed by Suraaj. Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music and the audio is expected to be released in December. Both the Tamil and Telugu (Bad Boy) version of the film will release simultaneously on the same day. The film is produced by Studio Green. Karthi who has wrapped up with Alex Pandian will start shooting for Venkat Prabhu's 'Biriyani' as well as Rajesh's 'All in All Azhagu Raja'.

Gautham Menon's most awaited film Neethane En Ponvasantham is expected to hit the screens on December 14. The film is a breezy romantic entertainer made in Tamil (Neethane En Ponvasanthan) and Telugu (Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu) simultaneously. Jiiva, Samantha and Nani (Telugu) play the lead roles. Ilayaraja has scored the music. NEP is produced by Gautham Menon's Photon Kathaas and Elred Kumar’s  RS Infotainment. Hope NEP recreates the magic of VTV again!

Parthiban denies doing Ajith's film

Every now and then some news pops up about Ajith's next film to be directed by Siruthai Siva. The latest rumour floating around is that actor-director Parthipen has been roped in to play the villain in this untitled flick. Parthipen has denied the news and has tweeted, "அஜித் படத்தில் நடிக்க போகும் நடிகருக்கு (நானாக இருந்தாலும்)வாழ்த்துக்கள்.இந்த நிமிடம் வரை யாரும் என்னிடம் பேச வில்லை. நன்றி!" Ajith will start shooting for the next schedule of Vishnuvaradhan's untitled flick from the first week of November.

Gautham puts 'Thuppariyum Anand' on hold?

Gautham Menon was set to work with Suriya after wrapping 'Neethane En Ponvasantham' for a detective thriller titled 'Thuppariyum Anand'. The latest we hear is that the director has put this project on hold for a while. If sources are to be believed the director will be doing a romantic action film with Surya next instead of Thuppariyum Anand. Gautham is said to have penned a fresh script for this romantic flick and the project is likely to begin from March 2013. However there is no official confirmation yet.

Ethir Neechal starring Shiva Karthikeyan, Priya Anand and Dhansika is the maiden production venture of Dhanush. The first look of the film was revealed recently. The film is directed by Senthil, a former associate of Vetrimaran. Anirudh has scored the music and the audio is likely to be released in November. Dhanush is said to have penned the lyrics for two songs.
