Is Vidya Balan Rajinikanth's latest Bollywood heroine?

It is a known fact that contemporary Bollywood heroines like Deepika Padukone (Kochadaiiyaan), Sonakshi Sinha (Linga), Amy Jackson (2.0) and Radhika Apte (Kabali) have already appeared opposite our very own superstar Rajinikanth. So it did not come as a surprise when Vidya Balan, who is a multiple award winning Bollywood actress, was closely associated with the Rajinikanth - Pa. Ranjith (director of Kabali) project. Reportedly, the actress has given her nod to take up the film, but the team is still working on sorting out the dates and an official agreement would come into place, only after the dates have been sorted. Since the actress has recently opted out of a Malayalam biopic titled Aami, the possibilities of her casting to materialize for this movie, look bright. 

To be produced by Rajinikanth's son-in-law actor, Dhanush K Raja, this yet untitled film is currently in the final stages of scripting. The movie which has also in the process of finalising the cast and crew,  will be bankrolled under the banner Wunderbar Films.
