Dhanush's signs his next Hindi film

Dhanush who is currently busy with his Bollywood debut flick Raanjhnaa and Bharat Bala's Mariyaan is said to have signed his second film in Hindi. Dhanush will portray the character of Dashrath Manjhi in the biopic to be directed by Manish Jha and produced by Sanjay Singh. While Manoj Bajpai was initially considered for the role the director seems to have zeroed in on Dhanush as he feels Dhanush fit the bill perfectly. Dasharath Manjhi is also called the 'Mountain Man' because of his feat of single handedly carving a 360-foot-long, 25-foot-high and 30-foot-wide road through a mountain in Gahlour village in Bihar.
Vikram Prabhu's next film starts rolling

Vikram Prabhu has started shooting for his next film with director Saravanan of Engeyum Eppothum fame. His debut film Kumki is set to hit the screens for Diwali. Vikram's next untitled film went on floors from yesterday. The shooting of the film will happen in Chennai. Saravanan is said to have penned a refreshingly different script for Vikram. The film is produced by Lingusamy's 'Thirupathi Brothers'.
Ilayaraja's Maranthen Mannithen audio launch postponed
The audio launch of Maranthen Mannithen (MM) which was to release on October 26 has been postponed to October 29. The audio launch will happen in Chennai. MM is a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu (Gundello Godari) starring Aadhi, Lakshmi Manchu and Taapsee in lead roles. Ilayaraja has scored the music. Film is directed by Kumar Nagendra and produced by Lakshmi Manchu.
What's next after Pizza?
Producer C.V. Kumar is happy with the response to his films Attakathi and Pizza. Pizza which hit the screens last week has received rave reviews and the film is picking up well at the Box Office following positive word of mouth from the audience. The producer is ready to begin his next production with debutant director Nalan. Nalan won the best director award in 'Nalaya Iyakkunar' TV show. The cast and crew details are yet to be revealed.
Comedian Jaspal Bhatti dies in a car accident
Film actor and comedian Jaspal Bhatti died in a road accident near Jalandhar early today. The car in which the 57-year-old actor, director was travelling hit a roadside tree near Shahkot in Nakodar area of the district around 1 AM. Bhatti was going to Jalandhar from Bhatinda for the promotion of his Punjabi film 'Power Cut' scheduled to be released tomorrow.
