Shiva and Santhanam team up

Santhanam and Shiva will join hands for a new project titled 'Ya Ya' to be directed by debutant Rajashekar, a former associate of director Rajesh of 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' fame. The film is touted to be a full fledged comedy and the director is confident that it will keep the audience in splits. Vijay Ebenezer of 'Kalakalappu' fame is scoring the music. Shiva is currently shooting for 'Sonna Puriyadhu' and 'Thillu Mullu'. Santhanam is busy with many projects in Kollywood including his home production Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya.

DSP gets a sweet surprise from Karthi

Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for Karthi, Anushka starrer Alex Pandian directed by Suraaj. The film touted to be an action entertainer is set to hit the screens in December. Karthi who had listened to the songs after the final audio mix was excited and happy with the way the album had shaped up. The actor had appreciated DSP for his work and had also sent a bouquet to him. The audio is eagerly awaited but the release date is yet to be announced. Film is produced by Studio Green.

Vimal's next film starts rolling

Director Ezhil of Manam Kothi Paravai fame is set to begin the shooting of his next project today. Vimal and Bindu Madhavi play the lead roles in this comedy centred film titled 'Idhu Pookalin Desam'. Vimal plays an interesting role in this hilarious subject. Music by Imman. Vimal is currently shooting for Pandiraj's Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga.

Pasanga 2 on the cards?

Pasanga directed by Pandiraj which was released in 2009 won several accolades and much critical acclaim. The latest we hear is Pasanga part 2 is likely to roll soon. The film marks the directorial venture of cinematographer Vijay Milton of 'Vazhukku Enn' fame. The film is not a sequel and will be an entirely new script which revolves around adolescent kids. Four kids who were part of Pandiraj's Pasanga will be starring in this film. Pandiraj who is currently busy with 'Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga' will also be penning the dialogues. 

Jiiva off to Mumbai for David

Jiiva is currently in Mumbai for the final schedule of Bejoy Nambiar's 'David'. Vikram plays the lead in the bilingual film made in Tamil and Hindi. Tabu, Isha Sharvani, Lara Dutta, Vinay Virmani (Jiiva's role in Hindi) are also part of the cast. Vikram plays a fisherman while Jiiva is a musician. The film is set to hit the screens on January 11, 2013.

Salman in Po Po song from Son of Sardar

Salman has made a special appearance in an item song in Son of Sardar starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Juhi Chawla and Sonakshi Sinha. The film is set to hit the screens for Diwali and will clash with SRK's 'Jab Tak Hain Jaan' at the Box Office.
