The next schedule of shooting for Settai has begun after canning a song sequence with the Arya and Hansika in Switzerland. The team will be shooting for more than a month and the talkie portion of the film is likely to be wrapped with this long schedule. Arya is currently shooting in Pondicherry. The shooting will also take place in Mumbai and Chennai. Settai is the remake of Delhi Belly directed by Kannan and produced by UTV. Santhanam, Anjali, Premgi Amaren and Nasser are also part of the cast. Music by Thaman.

The audio of Simbu’s ‘Poda Podi’ is getting released tomorrow. A single track ‘Love Pannalama’ was released last month. Santhanam, Premgi Amaren and VTV Ganesh who are close buddies of Simbu have done a cameo appearance in this song. All of them have danced along with Simbu. The film is directed by Vignesh Siva and has music by Dharan.

Pizza with 7.1 surround sound

Pizza starring Vijay Sethupathy and Ramya Nambeesan directed by Karthik Subburaj is set to hit the screens on October 19. The film has been recorded on 7.1 surround sound which is is expected to give a totally new listening experience to the audience. Pizza is reportedly the first film to be mixed in 7.1 surround sound. Ameer’s long in the making film ‘Aadhi Bhagavan’ has also been mixed using this technology. Music has been scored by Santhosh Narayanan.

Sathyaraj's 'Ammadhi Padai' sequel is titled

That Manivannan is set to direct a sequel of his hit film ‘Amadhi Padai’ is old news. The film which marks the 50th film of Manivannan has been titled ‘Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA’. Sathyaraj who played the lead in ‘Amadhi Padai’ will play the lead again in the sequel. Kadhal ‘Sandhya’ has been approached for the female lead. The film is likely to go on floors by the end of this month.

Nanditha in Dhanush’s film

Nanditha of ‘Atta Kathi’ fame has signed two projects post the success of her debut film. Nanditha has bagged a role in Dhanush’s maiden production venture ‘Ethir Neechal’. Siva Karthikeyan plays the lead. The film is a sports story interlaced with humour. Nanditha plays an athlete while Dhansika of Aravaan fame plays a coach. Vetrimaran’s assistant Manikandan is directing the film. Music by Anirudh.

Salman's towel dance in Makkhi

Makki’s popularity in B-Town is getting bigger day by day. The latest name to be associated with the film along with SRK, Ajay Devgn and Kajol is none other than Salman Khan. While the fly danced to Chiranjeevi and other Tollywood star songs in Eega /Naan Ee, the Makki will be dancing to the famous towel dance of Salman. The animation for this dance sequence took about seven days and was included in the film.

Udayanidhi Stalin's 'Neer Paravai' song teasers

The audio of 'Neer Paravai' starring Vishnu and Sunaina in lead roles is to be released tomorrow (October 10). The film is a love story which revolves around the life of fishermen. Samuthrakani, Nandita Das and Saranya Ponvannan are also part of the cast. Directed by Seenu Ramasamy, the film is produced by Udaynidhi's 'Red Giant Movies'. Music by NR Raghunanthan. Two song teasers from the film have been released.
