G.V. Prakash begins Vijay's film

G.V. Prakash begins Vijay's film

Vijay is set to team up with director A.L. Vijay after Thuppakki. The untitled flick will be an action entertainer. A.L. Vijay has started the pre-production work of his next film after 'Thaandavam'. G.V. Prakash who is scoring the music has tweeted, "Started composing the first tune for Ilayathalapathy Vijay's project with director A.L.Vijay." The film will be produced by Chandrakanth Jain.

G.V. Prakash in A.R. Murugadoss's film?

A.R. Murugadoss has approached music composer G.V. Prakash to play the lead in his next production venture. The film is based on music and the director is keen on casting G.V. Prakash as the hero. The happening composer who seemed to have liked the script is yet to take a final call as he is busy with his committed projects. No deals are done and sources described the discussions to be in the nascent stage.

Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' update

The shooting of the most awaited film 'Kadal' directed by Mani Ratnam is inching towards completion with only seven days of shoot remaining. The film is the launch pad of Gautham and Thulasi. The post production work of the film is also in progress. Music has been scored by A. R. Rahman. Buzz is that the audio is likely to be released on October 19. However official announcement is awaited. 

Vinay and Shriya in 'Onbathula Guru'

Vinay has signed a new project titled 'Onbathula Guru'. Shriya Charan to play the female lead opposite Vinay. The film will be a full-fledged comedy directed by newcomer P. T. Selvakumar. Premgi Amaren, Sathyan, Aravind Akash, Jagan and Lakshmi Rai are also part of the cast.  Music to be scored by K of 'Mugamoodi' fame. The film is expected to start rolling from October 10 after a formal launch. 

Vinay who is part of Jiiva's 'Endrendrum Punnagai' will also be teaming up with director Saran for a film titled 'Senthatti Kaalai Sevatha Kaalai.'

Santhanam in remake of Sivaji's film?

Santhanam who is a busy actor in Kollywood is likely to play the lead role in the remake of yesteryear Sivaji's film 'Paritchaiku Neramaachu'. Sivaji Ganesan and Y Gee Mahendra played the lead roles in the film which was released in 1982. Y Gee Mahendra who wants to remake the film now is said to have approached Santhanam to essay the role played by him in the original. Y Gee Mahendra to portray the role of Sivaji. The discussion are in the initial stages and nothing has been firmed up yet.

Thangar Bachan's 'Ammavin Kaipesi Trailer'

The audio of Ammavin Kaippesi starring Shanthanoo and Iniya directed by Thangar Bachchan was released on October 1. The film revolves around the love and affection of a mom towards her son. A mobile phone is the only source of communication between them. Rohit Kulkarni has scored the music.
