Venkat Prabhu is ready to begin the shooting of the much awaited 'Biriyani' starring Karthi, Richa, Premgi Amaren. The first schedule of the film will start rolling in Ambur this month. Karthi who has wrapped up Alex Pandian with Anushka is eagerly waiting to begin Briyani. Premgi Amaren is playing a significant role in the film. The film will be a mass entertainer produced by Studio Green. Music by Yuvan.

Udayanidhi's 'Neer Paravai' gets 'U'

Neer Paravai starring Vishnu, Sunaina, Samuthrakani, Nandita Das has cleared the censor board with a 'U' certificate. The film is directed by Seenu Ramasamy of 'Thenmerku Paruvakatru' fame. The film is a love story which revolves around the lives of fishermen. The audio of the film is to be released on October 10 by A.R. Murugadoss and Harris Jayaraj. Music by N.R. Raghunanthan. Film is produced by Udayanidhi Stalin's 'Red Giant Movies'.

STR's long in the making film 'Poda Podi' is set to hit the screens for Diwali. The post production work of the film is currently in progress. The audio of the film is to be launched on October 10. The film is directed by Vignesh Shiva and Dharan has scored the music. A single track 'Love Pannalama' from the film was released last month.

Sameera Reddy will be doing an item song in Rana-Nayanthara starrer film. The film is a bilingual made in Tamil as 'Onkaram' and 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum' in Telugu directed by Krish of 'Vaanam' fame. Nayanthara is playing a documentary filmmaker while Rana is a theatre artist. Sameera will be shaking her legs with Rana Daggubati for the song. The shooting for the song is to happen at Hyderabad.
