Just In : Release date of Kadavul Irukan Kumaru postponed

The release date of the GV Prakash starrer Kadavul Irukan Kumaru has been postponed to November 17, 2016. The reason for this pushed release date is cited as the cancellation of over 150 shows due to the ongoing currency situation (PM Narendra Modi has declared denominations of 500 and 1000 to be invalid). It is to be noted that this decision also comes in light of the movie facing a legal obstacle whose hearing required the producer of the movie, T. Siva to be summoned for a court session. 

To the unknown, a well known movie distributor opted for a legal action against the release of Kadavul Irukan Kumaru, stating that a former producer owed him money and that the release of the movie would free that producer from the financial obligation. However, the current producer, T. Siva whose Amma Creations funded the production cleared the air saying that his movie has been freed of the legal obligations and that it will be released on November 17, 2016.
