A.R. Murugadoss ready to start Hindi 'Thuppakki'
Vijay's Thuppakki directed by A.R. Murugadoss is one of the most awaited films of the year. The film is set to hit the screens for Diwali though the title issue is yet to be resolved. Director Murugadoss will next begin work on the Hindi version of Thuppakki. The director has reworked on the script to suit the Bollywood audience. Akshay Kumar will play the lead and a top Bollywood heroine is likely to play the female lead. The Hindi remake is likely to start in December.
On the other hand, producer Dhanu is said to have approached Madras High court regarding title issue. The High Court has made it clear that the final verdict on the case will be issued by the Civil court on October 3.
Thaandavam clears decks
Vikram's 'Thaandavam' is gearing up for a big release tomorrow. The makers are happy that the case over the story rights has been dismissed by the High Court. The case was filed by an assisstant director Ponnusamy claiming that the script of the film is his and that the makers had made it in to Thaandavam without giving his due credit or money. The film now having cleared all the hurdles is ready to hit the screens. The film is directed by A.L. Vijay and produced by UTV.
Jai and Nayan begin first
Atlee a former assistant of director Shankar is set to begin his untitled film starring Arya, Jai and Nayanthara from October. The film is produced by A.R. Murugadoss. Jai is playing a significant role in the film and is all excited to work with the hot beauty. Jai and Nayanthara will be shooting for the first schedule. Arya who is busy shooting for Settai will join the shoot later. Arya and Nayan are also working together in Ajith Vishnu's untitled film.
Ajay Devgn does it for 'Makki'
S.S. Rajamouli's blockbuster film 'Eega / Naan Ee' is getting ready to be released in Hindi on October 12. The film opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. The director is working towards the Bollywood release of the film. The latest we hear is Ajay Devgn would be lending his voice for Hindi 'Makki'. The director has tweeted, "Ajay Devgan watched Makkhi last night. He was very impressed. He agreed to give the voice over for the father in the opening credits." The film is expected to create a big buzz in Bollywood too!
Yuvan for Jayam Ravi - Jiiva film
Jayam Ravi and Jiiva are likely to team up for a project to be directed by S. P. Janananthan of 'Peraanmai' and 'E' fame. The project is set to begin at the beginning of next year when both the actors complete their committed projects. The actors who are good friends are looking forward to work together. Yuvan will be scoring the music for this untitled film and is teaming up with the director for the first time.
