'Barfi' to be remade in Tamil?

'Barfi' to be remade in Tamil?

Barfi starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana has garnered rave reviews from the audience and the film is doing well at the Box Office in its second week. It registered a powerful box office collection in its opening week, by earning Rs. 58.6 crore. Barfi is India’s Official Entry in The Foreign Film Category at the Oscars.  

The latest buzz is the film is likely to be remade in Tamil soon. UTV which produced the film is likely to remake the film in Tamil. However there is no official confirmation from the production house.

Siva Karthikeyan's next film

Siva Karthikeyan is on a roll these days. He is currently shooting for Pandiraj's 'Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga'. Siva is also playing the lead in Dhanush's maiden production venture 'Edhir Neechal' directed by Vetrimaran's former assistant Mani Kandan. The latest we hear is Siva has been roped in to play the lead in a yet-to-be-titled film to be produced by P Madhan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures.

The film is to be directed by 'SMS' and 'OKOK' fame director Rajesh's assistant Pon Kumaran. Interestingly Rajesh will be writing the dialogues for the film. The official announcement regarding the film is expected soon.

Tamanna in Hindi Ramana?

Tamanna is likely to sign her next project in Bollywood after Himmatwala where Ajay Devgn plays the lead. Ramana directed by A.R. Murugadoss with Vijayakanth in the lead is to be remade in Hindi with Akshay Kumar in the lead. Tamanna is likely to bag the lead role. The film is to be directed by Jayam Raja who is known for working on remakes. The film is to be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. 

Vimal to team up with Ezhil

Vimal and director Ezhil will be teaming up for a comedy entertainer. Director Ezhil is all set to begin his next film after 'Manam Kothi Paravai'. Vimal will play the lead in this untitled venture. The film is to be produced by Escape Artists Motion Pictures. The cast and crew are yet to be finalised. Vimal's other projects include Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, Sillinu Oru Sanippu, Moondru Per Moondru Kadal and Koothu.

Thaandavam ready for a big release

Vikram, Anushka, Amy Jackson, Jagpathi Babu starrer action entertainer 'Thaandavam' is gearing up for a big release worldwide on September 28. The film is set to be released in around 1000 screens worldwide including the Tamil and Telugu versions. Thaandavam will release in around 400+ screens in Tamil Nadu. With just four days left, the promotions are going on in full swing. Vikram is done with all the media promotions as he will be leaving to China for Shankar's 'I'. Directed by A.L. Vijay, music has been scored by G.V. Prakash. Thaandavam is produced by UTV.
