Studio Green to release Prabhu Solomon's 'Kumki'?

There is a lot of buzz surrounding Prabhu Solomon’s ‘Kumki’ which marks the debut film of Vikram Prabhu. The film is touted to be a forest thriller and is one of the most awaited after the director’s critically acclaimed ‘Mynaa’. The film saw a grand audio launch. The songs composed by D. Imman have got good response and is topping the charts. The film is produced by Lingusamy’s production house ‘Thiruppathi Brothers’.

The makers have not announced the release date as they do not want the film to clash with any biggies like Thandavam, Maattraan in the pipeline. The film is targeted for an October release. The latest we hear is Studio Green is in talks with Lingusamy to acquire the distribution rights of Kumki. The deal is yet to be finalized. It is to be noted that Studio Green had recently released ‘Attakathi’ which turned out to be a success at the Box Office.
