Velayudham vs. 7am Arivu in Overseas Markets

Personal emotions and ego may have taken over rational thinking and business sense as Velayudham and 7am Arivu have decided to battle it out head-to-head in Tamil Nadu and Overseas markets on Diwali day. At this point, it is doubtful whether any one of these two movies would back out since there is so much at stake. 

The equations are entirely different market by market. 7am Arivu is clearly ahead in booking prime screens in Tamil Nadu while Velayudham appears to be ahead in overseas territories.  Ayngaran is distributing Velayudham overseas and they are well known for having deep networks within many European countries. It is going to be a struggle for 7am Arivu to perform better than Velayudham in Europe. However, Suriya has a upper hand in the US market where Suriya movies have consistently made at least thrice as much BO collections compared to Vijay movies based on the last 4 outings.
