No Facebook! No Twitter!
A recent update from a fake Facebook account claiming to be Surya stirred up a lot of confusion among his fans. The update confirmed the release date of Surya's 'Maatraan' on September 19. The fans were excited with the news thinking it was actually posted by Surya himself.
Surya who came to know about this news has clarified to his fans that he is not on any social networking sites like Twitter or Facebook. There are many fake accounts on these sites using his name and also posting regular updates. The actor has requested his fans not to be mislead by such fake profiles carrying his name.
Vijay in 'Ek Tha Tiger' remake?
Ek Tha Tiger starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif which was released on Independence Day has turned out to be the second biggest grosser in Bollywood after '3 Idiots'. The film has collected more than 150 crores and still counting.
Following the success of the film, the rumour that is recently doing the rounds in K-Town is about the remake of 'Ek Tha Tiger' in Tamil. The film's remake rights is said to have been acquired by Editor Mohan and the film is to be directed by his son Jayam Raja. The highlight is Ilayathalapathy Vijay who earlier worked with Raja for Velayudham is likely to reprise the role of Salman in the remake. However there is no confirmation about this rumour.
Kadal nearing completion
The major portion of shooting of Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal is done and the talkie portions will be almost wrapped within the next 4-5 days. The film had been shot for over 70 days which is said to be the fastest of other Mani Ratnam films. Gautham and Thulasi play the lead roles. The other cast includes Aravind Swamy, Pasupathy, Arjun, Lakshmi Manchu. A. R. Rahman has finsihed composing for all the tracks in the film.

Tamanna replaces Hansika
Madhavan, Arya starrer 'Vettai' is remade in Telugu as 'Bhale Thammudu'. Sunil and Naga Chaitanya reprise the role of Madhavan and Arya respectively. Andrea and Hansika were roped to play the roles of Sameera and Amala Paul. The latest buzz is Tamanna is said to have replaced Hansika to essay the role of Amala Paul. Bellamkonda Suresh is producing this movie and Dolly is the director.
Vimal and Prasanna in Koothu
Vimal, Prasanna, Richard and Bharani of Nadodigal fame play the lead roles in ‘Koothu’. Arundhathi and Nandhagi play the female leads. The film is directed by Padmamagan of ‘Ammuvagiya Naan’ fame. The film is a thriller which has been shot in dense jungles and is set to hit the screens in October.
Saaiyaan song from Kareena's 'Heroine'
Heroine starring Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda directed by Madhur Bhandarkar is set to hit the screens on Septmeber 21. The film is one of the most awaited films in Bollywood. Checkout a new song 'Saaiyaan' from the film.
