Legendary music director M.S. Viswanathan will team up with most sought after music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja for the first time to compose music for the remake of yesteryear classic cult ‘Thillumullu’. Siva plays the lead role essayed by Rajnikanth and Isha Talwar of Malayalam film 'Thattathin Marayathu' fame will play the female lead.

Prakash Raj will reprise the role of ‘Thengai Sreenivasan’ while Kovai Sarala will play the role of Sowcar Janaki. The combination of these music composers has brought in a lot of excitement and expectations in K-Town. Interestingly music maestro Ilayaraja had worked together with Mellisai Mannar for ‘Mella Thiranthathu Kadavu’. The film is expected to go on floors in September.

It's Ula after Muran

Prasanna is teaming up with Muran director Rajan Madhav again for a new film titled 'Ula' (உலா) which would also be a multistarrer film. The actor has revealed the details of the crew in his microblog, "Padmesh who was with us Muran will handle camera. Music by Thaman. Proud to have national award winners editing duo Praveen and Srikanth in the team." However the details of the cast is yet to be disclosed.

Arun Vijay gets ready for a 'deal'

Arun Vijay who was appreciated for his performance in 'Thadaiyara Thakka' has signed for his next film titled 'Deal'. The film will be directed by one of director Panner Selvam's (Renigunta fame) assistant Siva Gnanam. Sukumar of Mynaa fame will handle the camera while music will be scored by Thaman. The rest of the cast are being finalised and the film will start rolling in September.

Ek Tha Tiger hits fastest 100

One of the most expected films 'Ek Tha Tiger' starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif had a big opening on Independence day with a worldwide release of 3800+ screens. The film has joined the elite 100 crore club in just 5 days and is said to be the fastest when compared to other films that crossed the 100 crore mark. Remarkably the film had collected around 32 crores on its first day. The film is also doing well in TN and the collection has crossed 1 crore. Salman Khan has now 4 movies to his credits, Dabbang, Ready, Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger.
