Dhanush to complete Mariyaan
Dhanush has been shooting for Bharath Bala's 'Mariyaan' after '3'. The film shooting which began in South Africa has been progressing well. The team is now shooting the final schedule in Bhuj (Gujarat). The film is expected to be wrapped with this schedule. Parvathi Menon of 'Poo' fame plays the lead. A.R. Rahman is composing music and the film is produced by Aascar Films. The title 'Mariyaan' means 'one without death'.
Dhanush will be then teaming up with director Anand L Rai for Raanjhnaa which marks his Bollywood debut. A.R. Rahman is scoring music for this film too. Sonam Kapoor plays the female lead. The actor will also be shooting for Sotta Vazhakutty with director Sargunam.
AR Rahman completes 2 decades!
The Oscar winner AR Rahman has successfully completed two decades in the film industry. Its been 20 years since his debut as music composer in Mani Ratnam's 'Roja' in 1992. His musical journey over the years has been remarkable and is still one of the most sought after music director.
Rahman is a trendsetter who redefined the contemporary Indian music and emerged in the International stage with his musical magic. The musical legend with skyrocketing success in his career for over 2 decades is still seen as a humble human being without any airs.
Wishing him many more success in all his future endeavours.
Karthi to shuttle between his projects
Alex Pandian starring Karthi, Anushka and Santhanam is slated for a release in October. The team is waiting for Anuska to wrap up the film. The film is almost done except for 2 songs which are to be canned after Anushka returns from Georgia. Karthi is waiting to wrap the shoot of Alex Pandian to move on with the shoot of his next projects.
Karthi will be doing 'Biriyani' with Venkat Prabhu. Richa plays the female lead and the shooting is expected to begin soon. Rajesh who is working on the script of All in All Azhagu Raja will begin shoot once he is done. Since the shooting of both the films may happen around the same time, Karthi will have to shuttle between Biriyani and All in All Azhaguraja. Yuvan will be composing music for both the films.
'Gouravam' second schedule
Gouravam starring Allu Sirish and Yami Gautham (Vicky Donor fame) directed by Radha Mohan is progressing well. The team is now shooting the second schedule in Rajamundry. The first schedule was wrapped in Mysore. The film is a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu and produced by Prakash Raj's 'Duet Movies'. Thaman is scoring the music.
Shahrukh Katrina's 'untitled' film Trailer
Yash Chopra is making a comeback into film direction after a gap of eight years, his last film being Veer-Zaara in 2004. Shahrukh, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma play the lead role in this untitled romantic film. The other highlight is A.R. Rahman is scoring the music. Film is set to release for Diwali.
