Jai in 'Vaalu'

STR's 'Poda Podi' is currently inching to its completion with the last leg of shooting happening in Mumbai. Simbu is then expected to join Vaalu team. Hansika and Santhanam are also part of the cast. The latest we hear is actor Jai will be doing a cameo in Vaalu. Jai who is sharing screen space with STR in Vettaimannan has agreed to do a guest role for his friend. Also Tollywood comedy actor Bhrahmanandam will also be seen in Vaalu. Directed by Vijay Chander film is slated for Diwali release.

Dhansika starves herself for Bala's film

Dhansika of Aravaan fame is playing an important role in Bala's 'Paradesi'. The film set in the pre-independence era revolves around the life of tea workers. Atharva and Vedhika play the lead roles. The lead actors in director Bala's film undergo a complete image makeover in his films. Dhaniska has taken extra effort to get into the skin of her character. She plays a very poor girl and had starved herself for more than 3 days to fit into her role. 

The audio launch of the film will happen next month in London. Music has been scored by G.V. Prakash. The composer is upbeat about his composition for the film and has said that the songs will be completely different from his earlier albums.
