Director opts out of Nayanthara's film

Nayanthara and Gopichand are the lead pair for a bilingual film to be directed by Bhoopathi Pandian. The director is said to have opted out of the film due to creative differences that popped up between the director and producer. The makers have now roped in director Sri Vaas for the Telugu version. The film titled 'Jaganmohan IPS' will go on floors from September in Hyderabad. However the Tamil version may not take off simultanesouly as the makers are in the lookout for a suitable director from Kollywood.
Yuvan upbeat about MPMK music

Vasanth is directing a film Moondru per Moondru Kadhal (MPMK) after a long break. The film has Arjun, Cheran, Vimal, Bhanu and two new faces Shruthi and Surveenin in the lead. MPMK revolves around the love life of three couples. Yuvan is scoring the music and is thrilled to work with director Vasanth.
Yuvan has composed six tracks and is upbeat about his music. Yuvan will work on the final mixing and bgscore in Berlin. The composer had tweeted, "Director Vasanth says 'Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal' is my best till date but I'm waiting for your verdict! I'm really happy with my work in MPMK."
Mani Ratnam's Kadal update
The shooting of Mani Ratnam's Kadal has been quietly progressing and the latest we hear is the team has completed its schedule in Kerala and is back to Manapad near Tuticorin. The team had shot song sequences in Andaman and A.R. Rahman is said to have recorded 4 songs so far. Major portion of the film has been shot.
The film is a rustic love story which is set in the backdrops of the lives of fishermen. Gautham and Tulasi make their debut in Kadal. Aravindswamy, Lakshmi Manchu, Arjun, Thambi Ramiah, Pasupathy play supporting roles.
Vikram Prabhu and Gautham Karthik in Agni Natchatram remake?
Mani Ratnam's cult classic Agni Natchatiram which was a blockbuster hit is to be remade by producer Ramesh who is producing Vishal's Samar. Karthik and Prabhu played the lead roles in Agni Natchathiram. The makers are keen on casting Karthik's son Gautham and Prabhu's son Vikram Prabhu for the lead roles in the remake. Both the actors have been approached but still nothing has been finalised.
Barfi title track 'Ala Barfi'
The recently released Barfi trailer got rave reviews. Barfi is a romantic comedy starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana directed by Anurag. Ranbir's plays a deaf and dumb character and his mute performance has been highly appreciated.
Priyanka Chopra plays a mentally challenged girl. Ileana plays Ranbir’s love interest in the film and also the role of the narrator of the film. The title track 'Ala Barfi' has been released. The song has been sung by Mohit Chauhan. Barfi is scheduled for September 14 release.
