Jiiva in Harris musical - Endrendrum Punnagai First Look

Jiiva and Trisha will be paired together for the first time in Harris' musical "Endrendrum Punnagai" under Ahmed's direction. The movie is expected to be a youthful-romantic-comedy entertainer with Vinay and Santhanam cast along side Jiiva and Trisha. Based on the cool look of poster, fans are expecting a light-hearted love musical subject. The movie already has positive talk in the trade circles due to the following key reasons,

• Jiiva's stock price is on a meteoric rise with a great line-up of movies such as Mugamoodi, Neethane En Ponvasantham, David(Hindi) and Yaan with leading directors and technicians in India.

• Harris Jayaraj has the highest success rate in picking the right movies, among all the music directors in Tamil. Harris has declined big hero and director movies if he is not comfortable with the story. Irrespective of the budget of the movie, Harris' songs have consistently become chart busters prior to release directly resulting in good opening in the box office. 

• Santhanam and Jiiva's combination in 'SMS' was a huge hit. Naturally, there is big expectations for this combo since it was one of the very rare instances where a hero was able to match with Santhanam's one-liners and timings.

• This is the first time Trisha will be acting alongside Jiiva. Trisha is the one of the few actresses who has managed to successfully act with 3 generation of actors (Kamal, Vijay/Ajith/Suriya/Vikram and Simbu/Jiiva/Arya) without getting type-casted. Trisha and Jiiva's pairing looks fresh and interesting. 

• The title "Endrendrum Punnagai" has good recall value as actor Madhavan made his screen debut with the song of the same title in Manirathnam's Alaipaayuthe. Director Ahmed's previous movie (Vaamanan) had hit songs and good technical value even though the movie was not well received. But, the industry took note of the director's potential.
