Yami Gautham faces language challenge

Yami Gautham who shot to fame with Vicky Donor is playing the lead in Radha Mohan’s ‘Gauravam’. The film marks the debut of Allu Arjun’s brother Allu Sirish as hero. The first schedule of the film was recently wrapped in Mysore and the team is set to begin its next schedule in Chennai.

The film is a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu. The leading lady Yami Gautham is not at all familiar with both Tamil as well as Telugu. She however took all efforts to learn her dialogues in Tamil and Telugu then and there with the team without opting for a tutor to learn the language. The team was impressed with her dialogue delivery as it was in perfect sync be it Tamil or Telugu. The film is produced by Prakash Raj’s ‘Duet Movies’ and music by Thaman.

Director Kathir who is popular for his romance based films is making a comeback after a hiatus of almost a decade. His last film was Kadhal Virus which bombed at the box office. The director of films like Kadhal Desam and Kadhalar Dhinam is set to direct a film Kodai Vidumurai with Shaam in the lead. The film will be a youthful love story.

However Kathir’s favourite music composer A.R. Rahman is not scoring the music this time as he is busy with other projects. Music by Prasanna and camera is handled by Vincent. The director is however hopeful to A.R. Rahman’s music for his next film.

Malyalam 'Traffic' is 'Naangu Vazhi Salai' in Tamil

The 2011 Malyalam blockbuster ‘Traffic’ that earned critical acclaim besides an impressive run at the Box office is being remade in Tamil. The film titled ‘Naangu Vazhi Salai’ is a multi-starrer featuring Sarath Kumar, Radhika, Prakash Raj, Cheran, Prasanna, Parvathi Menon, Remya Nambeesan and Rohini.  The film is an edge of the seat emotional thriller. The shooting of Traffic started recently.

Shahid Khader makes his debut as director. The story has been tweaked to suit the Tamil audience however maintaining the essence of the original. The film is produced by Radhika’s ‘I’ Pictures.

Salman's demand for Katrina

The most awaited film of the year 'Ek Tha Tiger' starring Salman and Katrina will be out on August 15. The promotions of the film is happening in full swing. Salman has refused to promote his film without his co-star Katrina Kaif. Katrina Kaif who is part of 'Dhoom 3' had to leave to Chicago to join the team for the shoot which begins from August 3. Salman had however insisted on Katrina being with him throughout the promotions whatsoever. 

Yash Raj Films which is producing both Ek Tha Tiger and Dhoom 3 has now agreed to Salman's demand and readjusted Katrina's schedule so that she can join the team for the shoot at a later date.
