Mirchi Shiva begins his next
Shiva is said to have signed 3 projects following the success of Kalakalappu. The actor has started shooting for his next film tentatively titled 'MMB', though we don't know what MMB stands for. The film is directed by Jeyaraj who is a former assistant of CS Amudhan. The film shooting began yesterday and Shiva is excited about his new project. MMB is produced by 360 degrees. Suresh who takes care of editing had tweeted, "Started editing for my next Tamil film starring shiva and directed by Jayaraj sir. Super fun in the sets! Looking forward!".
Thandavam Trailer next week
The makers of Thandavam are keen in releasing the trailer of Thandavam in the first week of August. Thandavam is one of the most awaited film starring Vikram, Anushka, Jagpathi Babu and Amy Jackson. The trailer is likely to be released on August 2 or 3. The trailer will be released online and there would not be any launch function. However a grand function is being organised for the Audio launch on August 15. G.V. Prakash has scored the music.

Neetu Chandra who plays the lead in Ameer's 'Aadhi Bhagvan' opposite Jayam Ravi has completed shooting her portions. The actor who has a performance oriented role is looking forward to the release of the film and is confident that her role will definitely make a mark. The last leg of shooting is happening in Jaipur and Jayam Ravi is yet to complete his part. Yuvan who scores the music is busy with song mixing in Germany.
Vijay Antony hits 25 with Naan
Music director Vijay Antony turns actor-producer for his debut film 'Naan'. The film marks his 25th film as music composer. Naan is an action packed musical film which is set to hit the screens in August. Naan has Vijay Antony in the lead role, along with Siddharth Venugopal and Rupa Manjari. The film carries a tagline “No one is perfect.” The audio of the film will be launched on July 29 at Sathyam Cinemas.
Sridevi's 'English Vinglish' at Torronto Film Festival
Sridevi's comeback film 'English Vinglish' will make its world premiere at the Torronto International Film Festival. The film is directed by Gauri Shinde and produced by R. Balki. The film is about a woman who struggles to learn English. The film also stars French actor Mehdi Nebbou, Adil Hussain, Priya Anand along with Amitabh Bachchan, who is doing a cameo. The film festival will be held from September 6 to 16. The film is set to be released on September 21.
Samuthirakani's 'Sattai' Trailer
Samuthirakani plays a school teacher in Sattai. The film talks about the importance of the noble profession of teaching. Actor Yuvan who plays the student will be the parallel lead. Thambi Ramaiah will also be seen in an important role. M Anbazhagan, a former associate of director Prabhu Solomon, will direct the film which is produced by Prabhu Solomon and John Max under the banner of Shalom Studios. Music by Imman.
