Dhanush kickstarts his maiden production venture

Dhanush kickstarts his maiden production venture

The shooting of Dhanush's maiden production venture starring Siva Karthikeyan and Priya Anand of 180 fame began on Monday. The film is produced under his home banner Wunderbar Films. The untitled flick is directed by Senthil, a former associate of director Vetrimaran. Dhanush and Vetrimaran were present at the launch to wish the team good luck. 

Siva Karthikeyan has yet another reason to rejoice as the first shot was taken by legendary director Balu Mahendra. The actor had tweeted, "Started my new movie under Dhanush sir's banner. Legend Balu Mahendra sir took the first shot. Felt great.". Dhansika of Aravaan fame plays an important role. Velraj handles the camera and music by Anirudh.

Jiiva is currently in Mumbai shooting for Bejoy Nambiar's 'David'. Vikram plays the lead role. Jiiva has been shooting for the Tamil version of David along with Lara Dutta and singer Shweta Pandit. Jiiva plays a musician. The actor was taken by surprise when Akshay Kumar dropped on the sets of David suddenly and had spent time with the team. Jiiva had tweeted, "So nice of Akshay Kumar sir to come up to the sets of David. Fabulous personality."

Udhay teams up with 3 directors

Udhaynidhi Stalin's 'Red Giant Movies' is set to produce 3 films next year. The producer turned actor has been listening a lot of scripts and is said to have finalised three directors who will make films under his home banner. Udhay is likely to do films with Sundar C, Samudhrakani and Prabhu Solomon.

Udhay seemed to have liked the one line narration of the story from these directors and is waiting for the final scripts to go ahead with the projects. We are not sure if he would be playing the lead in any of these films as he is yet to make any announcements regarding his next film after OKOK.

Kamal and Surya launch Kumki audio

The audio of Kumki starring Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon directed by Prabhu Solomon is to be released tomorrow. While Kamal Hassan will be releasing the audio, Surya will be receiving the first copy of the audio CD. The team is happy to have both Kamal Hassan and Surya as the chief guests for the function. As the film marks the debut of Vikram Prabhu a grand launch event has been planned. Music by Imman.

Allari Naresh's 'Sudigadu' Trailer

Sudigadu starring Allari Naresh is the Telugu version of Tamizh Padam directed by C.S. Amudhan. Tamil Padam', was the first full-length spoof on Tamil cinema starring Siva in the lead. The film is remade in Telugu by director Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao. The film touted to be a laugh riot will have some hilarious spoofs on hit Telugu films similar to Tamizh Padam. The trailer seemed to have triggered curiosity among the audience.
