Vishal's 'Samar' reaches climax

Vishal's 'Samar' reaches climax

Samar starring Vishal, Trisha and Sunaina promises unlimited action. The director of the film Thiru has said that the action sequences in the film will be definitely talked about and Vishal is said to have done some daredevil stunts. Only the climax and a song are remaining to be shot. The team will be leaving to Malaysia soon to shoot the climax scene. The action sequence will be choreographed by Nung, a stunt choreographer from Bangkok.

Sakthi (Vishal) is a trekking guide in Ooty who lands in Bangkok due to personal reasons, where a series of strange incidents unfold. The film is about Vishal fighting his way out of the problems he encounters. Maya (Trisha) plays a tamil girl who works abroad. Roopa (Sunaina) lives in Ooty. Manoj Bajpayee and J.D. Chakravarthy play important roles in the film.  Yuvan has scored the music of Samar and the audio is expected to be released soon.

Jai joins Arya and Nayan

Arya and Nayanthara play the lead roles in an untitled film to be directed by debutant Atlee who happens to be Shankar’s former associate. The latest to join the cast is Jai who has a significant role in the film. The director is yet to announce the title as well as the date of commencement of the shoot.

Jai is currently shooting for Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum directed by debutant Prem Sai and produced by Gautham Menon. The actor also plays an important role in Vettaimannan where he shares the screenspace with STR.

Nadodigal is Rangrez in Hindi

Nadodigal starring Sasikumar and Ananya in lead roles was a hit in Kollywood. Director Priyadarshan who was impressed with the script has acquired the remake rights of Samuthirakani’s Nadodigal for a huge price. The director has reworked the script to appeal to Bollywod audience.

Jacky Bhagnani, son of producer Vashu Bhagnani will essay the role of Sasikumar while Priya Anand of 180 fame will play the role of Ananya. The rest of the cast will be new faces. The technical crew includes Santhosh Sivan (camera), Sabu Cyril (art) and T.S. Suresh (Editing).

STR is busy shooting for Vaalu in Hyderabad. Hansika, Santhanam, VTV are also part of the cast. Touted to be a full fledged comedy entertainer the shooting is progressing in full swing. The film will have a new villain from Sandalwood. Interestingly Aditya who plays the negative role is a popular hero in Kannada industry. The actor however has no qualms on playing a baddie as he is inspired by Rajnikanth who began his career in Kollywood playing negative roles.

The team will wrap up the talkie portions by next month. The film is set for a Diwali release. Thaman scroes the music and Vijay Chandar weilds the meghaphone.
