Two weeks to the Trailer release of Thaandavam. Shall update on the exact date soon. We will not clash with any big film as both our films Mugamoodi and Thandavam are of big budget and a solo release is our target.
Kamal to launch Kumki audio
We had earlier reported that Kumki team was keen on having Kamal and Rajni for the audio launch of the film. Kumki marks the debut of Prabhu's son Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon and is directed by Prabhu Solomon of 'Mynaa' fame.
Finally veteran actor Kamal Hassan has agreed to release the audio of Kumki. The audio launch will happen on July 26 at Sathyam Cinemas. The film has music by D. Imman and is produced by Lingusamy's production house 'Thirupathi Brothers'.

Trisha rejects Bollywood offer
Director K. S. Ravikumar is set to begin the Hindi remake of 'Saamy' soon with Sanjay Dutt playing the lead. The actor had approached Trisha for the lead to play the role essayed by her in Tamil. The svelte beauty couldn't accept the offer as she had problems adjusting her dates.
Trisha is currently part of Samar (Vishal), Endrendrum Punnagai (Jiiva) and Boologam (Jayam Ravi). Since she has back and back shoots for these films she was unable to give dates for K.S. Ravikumar as the film shoot is set to begin in August. However the director had immediately roped in Prachi Desai for the female lead and the first schedule is to be shot in Hyderabad.

Missing Idhayam Song will be back!
Ajith's most expected Billa 2 which released last friday has got mixed reviews from audience and critics. The film is said to have done well at the Box office at the opening weekend. However the collections made during the weekdays (Mon-Fri) will decide the fate of the movie. The makers have planned some promotional strategies to keep the momentum going. The melody number 'Idhayam' sung by Shweta Pandit which was not screened for Indian audience is likely to be added during the second week. Behind-the-scenes footage will be released this week says producer Sunir Kheterpal.
STR off to Hyderabad
STR has left to Hyderabad for a month long shoot for 'Vaalu'. Vaalu is an comedy entertainer directed by debutant Vijay Chander starring STR, Hansika, Santhanam, VTV Ganesh. The team is set to complete all the talkie portions except for the songs in this schedule. As the film is scheduled for Diwali release, the team is working hard to get the film out on the targeted date. The songs will be canned later. Thaman scores the music.
