Nayan shifts focus to direction

Nayanthara who is busy doing films in both Kollywood and Tollywood seems to have a passion for film making other than acting. Well the actress is not gearing up to don the hat of a director but would love to learn the nuances of film making. Nayanthara had expressed her interest to director Vishnuvaradhan and is said to have turned an assistant director for the film. 

Nayan plays the lead in Vishnu's untitled film also starring Ajith, Arya and Taapsee. The svelte beauty is religiously carrying out her tasks as an AD after completing her portion of the shoot. The film has been progressing well and the next schedule of the film is set to begin next week in Mumbai.

Rajni and Kamal to launch Kumki audio?

Kumki directed by Prabhu Solomon of 'Mynaa' fame marks the debut of Prabhu's son Vikram Prabhu in the lead. Vikram plays the role of a mahout in this forest thriller. Lakshmi Menon plays the female lead. Post the success of Mynaa, audience are eagerly looking forward to Prabhu Solomon's next film. Vikram is pinning his hopes on the film and had even opted out of his next film 'Sattam Oru Irutarai' as few portions had to be re-shot.

The team is planning to launch the audio of the film soon. The makers have approached both Rajni and Kamal to be the chief guests for the occasion. The team is hopeful that the duo would agree to be part of the audio launch as they share a good rapport with Prabhu. Imman has scored the music.

Missed Mankatha! Grabbed Briyani!

Venkat Prabhu is all set to begin his next film 'Briyani' soon with a formal announcement. Karthi and Richa play the lead. Richa who was missing from action in Kollywood though she was recognized for her performance in Mayakkam Enna and Osthe is really excited to have signed Briyani. The Bengali beauty was offered a role in Venkat Prabhu's 'Mankatha' but wasn't able to do the film as she was busy with Mayakkam Enna. She is however happy that she got a plum role and it has been worth the wait. Richa is pairing opposite Karthi for the first time and is hoping to team up with Surya also for a project!
