Akshay Kumar-Alia Bhatt in Badlapur Director Sriram Raghavan's Film?

After making a thriller, Badlapur last year, Sriram Raghavan is working on his next, an adaptation of Vikas Swarup's The Accidental Apprentice. But soon after that, he will begin working on a thriller. As per news sources, the director has collaborated with scriptwriter-turned-author Sheeja Jose, and is considering a thriller based on Sheeja's second bestseller, Gone with The Bullet.

The novel was originally a film script which Sujoy Ghosh had planned to bring on screen. However things didn't work out then and Sheeja turned the script into a book. The story follows an 18 year old girl who falls in love with a 40-some-thing assassin.

When prodded about the casting, she told a leading daily, "I think Sriram will agree that Akshay Kumar would be perfect as the brooding dark assassin and Alia Bhatt as the new-age girl in love. It's a hatke romance against the backdrop of bullets."
