Vishnuvaradhan clarifies on Ajith's film

The shooting of Ajith Vishnuvaradhan's untitled flick has been progressing well. The team which completed a schedule in Mumbai resumed the shooting in Bangalore. Though the team faced problems as fans thronged the shooting spot to see Ajith, the film's schedule is going on as planned. Meanwhile there were many speculations regarding the film's story being based on Bollywood film 'Race'. The director had put an end to rumours clarifying on his microblog, "I really wonder why people think I am doing 'Race'. Am really not on a race or doing race. Now let me run!!!" The next schedule of the film is set to begin in Mumbai again in mid July. 

Kishore in Ajith's film

The latest actor to join the cast is Kishore of 'Polladhavan' and 'Aadukalam' fame. The actor is currently shooting for Haridass a film which depicts the life of a father from the perspective of his son. Kishore is happy to be working with Ajith and director Vishnuvaradhan and is looking forward to join the shoot. The cast also included Arya, Nayanthara and Taapsee in lead roles.

Santhanam Powerstar combo to rock

Santhanam who is ruling the roost in Kollywood is set to team up with Powerstar Srinivasan for a full fledged comedy entertainer titled 'Kanna Ladoo Thinaa Aasaya'. The film is expected to go on floors on July 9. The film is directed by Manikandan and Thaman is set to score the music.

Aadhi Bhagavan in 'September'

Jayam Ravi's long in the making film 'Aadhi Bhagavan' directed by Ameer is set to be out in September. The last leg of shooting of the film is currently happening in Jaipur. The post production of the film has already begun. Jayam Ravi has put in a lot of effort as he is said to have played double roles. The actor is looking forward for the release for the film. Neetu Chandra plays the female lead. Yuvan has scored the music for the film and the audio is likely to be released by the end of this month. 

Rajni and Kamal's classic films to be remade

Rajni's 'Thillumullu' and Kamal's 'Manmadha Leelai' both directed by legendary director K. Balachander are to be remade. According to sources talks are on with top directors to remake the film. The story of the film will be changed to suit the current trend maintaining the essence of the film. The buzz is the classic films may be remade once again by the ace director K. Balachander himself. However everything seems to be in the initial stages and the makers are yet to make a final call.

Samantha who has been in news for opting out of Mani Ratnam's Kadal and Shankar's I is extremely happy with the success of Eega and Naan Ee. The pretty lass who has been appreciated for her performance in Eega / Naan Ee is on cloud nine and is all praise for her director Rajamouli for casting her in his dream project. 

The gorgeous actor who had kept a low profile when the news about her walk outs were hitting headlines has opened up on her microblog. The actress who seems to be recovering from her illness had tweeted, “And yes I know there has been a lot of speculations about me missing in action. My low immune system kicked off a series of repetitive infections. But I can safely say I am much much better and will join shoot shortly”. Samantha is part of NEP / YVM directed by Gautham Menon and two other Telugu projects.
