Samantha ready for Bollywood?

Samantha ready for Bollywood?

Samantha has been in the news recently for opting out of two big projects Maniratnam's 'Kadal' and Shankar's 'I'. The upcoming actor who is said to be undergoing treatment for minor health issues unfortunately had to give a miss to the most prestigious projects which would have been a big ticket to stardom.

Samantha's luck however seems to be favouring her as she is being eyed by Prabhu Deva for his next Bollywood flick. Prabhu Deva who is basking in the success of his recent flick 'Rowdy Rathore' is set to do a Hindi film for TIPS. If sources are to be believed, Prabhu Deva is planning to remake his first directorial venture 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana' in Hindi and is keen on casting Samantha to reprise the role of Trisha. Siddharth and Trisha played the lead roles in Telugu while Jayam Ravi and Trisha played the lead roles in the Tamil version 'Something Something'. However, an official announcement is awaited.

Sanjay Dutt in Jiiva's film

Jiiva is going great guns in Kollywood and his lineup of movies seems to be promising. Jiiva has been roped in as the lead in cinematographer Ravi K Chandran's directorial venture. The film is a trilingual to be made in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. The director plans to cast Sanjay Dutt for a pivotal role. Talks are on with Sanjay Dutt and the director is confident of bring him onboard. 

If all goes well, the film will mark Sanjay Dutt's debut in Kollywood. Interestingly the actor has been roped in as the lead role in K.S. Ravikumar's Bollywood venture which is a remake of 'Saami'. The film is produced by R.S. Infotainment. 

Jiiva joins Vikram for 'David'

Jiiva who is shooting for NEP and Mugamoodi will be joining the sets of Bejoy Nambiar's 'David'. Vikram plays the lead in this multilingual flick which marks his Bollywood debut as hero. The KO actor had tweeted, "Schedule pack up for 'Mugamoodi'. Just songs and some patch work action sequence left. I will be joining them soon by the end of this month. Now off to Mumbai for David film. It's been too hectic. Looking forward to work with a young new team." Jiiva plays a musician and is part of the Tamil and Telugu versions. Interestingly Lara Dutta will be part of the segment featuring him.

Jayam Ravi's 'Nimirndhu Nil' launch today

Samuthrakani's next film 'Nimirndhu Nil' starring Jayam Ravi and Amala Paul will have its official launch today. Jayam Ravi plays a double role as a 25 years old and 45 years old. The film is about a man who is focussed on achieving his set goals of life and the problems he encounters on the way. Meghna Raj plays the other lead. The film is a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu. Nani of 'Eega' fame will play the lead in Telugu. Music by G.V. Prakash.

Thandavam to rock with Billa 2

The most awaited film of the year 'Billa 2' is gearing up for release on July 13. The film promotions are happening in full swing. New promo teasers are to be released everyday. Billa 2 game and 'hot' calendar featuring Parvathy Omnakuttan and Bruna Abdullah will be released soon as part of promotions. 

Meanwhile the makers of Thandavam starring Vikram, Anushka, Amy Jackson are planning to release a teaser of the film on July 13 along with Billa 2. Thandavam directed by A.L. Vijay is a complete action entertainer which is slated for a release in September. The audio of the film will be released in the first week of August. The team is shooting patchwork scenes in Chennai and the film will be wrapped by July 7 confirms Dhananjayan of UTV.
