Ace 'Cinematographer' turns director

Ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran is all set to don the director’s cap. He has worked with leading directors in the film industry like Priyadarshan, Maniratnam, Shankar, Karan Johar and Farhan Aktar. Movies he has worked on as cinematographer include Boys, Ko Mil Gaya, Dil Chahta Hai, Ayutha Ezhuthu, Ghajini, Anjaana Anjaani, 7aum Arivu and Agneepath.

Chandran one of the most sought after cinematographers will be directing a film for RS Infotainments which produced films like VTV and KO. The film will be a trilingual to be made in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu with Jiiva playing the lead. The technical crew includes Resul Pookutty, Sabu Cyril and Editor Sreekar Prasad. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalized.

Bharathiraja targets ‘Hollywood’

Ace director Bharathiraja is planning to remake his investigative thriller film Bommalatam which released in 2008. Nana Patekar, Arjun, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Kajal Agarwal played lead roles. The film got mixed reviews on its release. The director who feels the film will work well in Hollywood is said to be reworking on the script to suite the International audience.

The veteran is in talks with few producers to back his project. The director is keen in casting popular Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson in Nane Patekhar’s role. Bharathiraja is currently busy with Annakodiyum Kodiveranum and his expected to commence work on his next project only after completing this film. 

Yuvan teams up with ‘Marina’ director

Director Pandiraj of ‘Pasanga’ and ‘Marina’ fame is next to set on a full fledged rom com. Vimal and Shiva Karthikeyan who played the leads in his earlier films ‘Pasanga’ and ‘Marina’ respectively will team up for this comedy caper. Yuvan Shankar Raja is set to score the music for the film and this is the first time Yuvan is joining hands with the director. The film has been titled ‘Kedi Billa and Rowdy Ranga’. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalized.

A.R. Rahman goes 'Bhale Bhale' for Olympics

News about A. R. Rahman composing a track for the opening ceremony of Olympics for Danny Boyle has created a huge buzz among his fans worldwide. While everybody is eager and looking forward for his composition, the musical legend is set to compose a Punjabi track which will feature as part of the three hour long musical show ‘Isles of Wonder’ which is being orchestrated by Danny Boyle. Rahman mentioned about his composition in his social networking site where he had said, “Clarifying the report on the Olympics track I am composing. It's a track in Punjabi celebrating the Indian influence in the UK. It's a part of a medley in the Olympics opening ceremony, according to Danny Boyle's creative wishes!”

'Cocktail' is one of the most awaited movies of the year . The characters of the movie are easily relatable, from the casual Gautam played by Saif Ali Khan to the vivacious Veronica played by Deepika Padukone and the desi Meera played by debutant Diana Penty.

Cocktail has just released the new dialogue promo 'Fresh Start' which is is sure to create a laughter riot amongst all fans. The dialogue 'This is his bun in my oven' seems to have caught up with the audience. The promo has the hot Veronica pleading to Gautam, for a fresh start and the dialogues are hilarious and quirky.
