Saguni North America Box Office Opening Collections 2012

Saguni(Tamil) opened in 22 screens in North America and collected $121,000 during the opening weekend. It is the second highest opening collections for the year 2012 (second only to Nanban). It is surprising to see Saguni has made more collections during the opening weekend than the much touted "3". Saguni at the current rate is expected to edge past $200,000 during the upcoming weeks in NA box office. With the success of Saguni in the US Box Office, Karthi has proved that he has a bigger market compared to his peers in the overseas market. 

While Saguni set the cash register ringing over the weekend, Sakuni (Telugu) was underwhelming in the US markets. The Telugu version of Saguni could manage to collect only $8,700 from 9 screens.
