Suman Ranganathan joins Ajith Vishnuvaradhan team

Suman Ranganathan joins Ajith Vishnuvaradhan team

Suman Ranganathan is not a new face to Kollywood. She had worked in a few films in Tamil in the early 90's and had then moved to Bollywood. The actor has now been signed for Ajith's untitled film. Suman has been offered to play the role of a hard core journalist in this action flick. 

Suman is happy to be back to Kollywood after a long break. She is also equally thrilled about her role and being part of a prestigious project which boasts a stellar cast including Ajith, Nayanthara, Arya and Taapsee. Suman will be shooting some of her portions in Bengaluru and will join the team back in August for the next schedule. The shooting is currently happening in Bengaluru. Ajith, Nayanthara, Atul Kulkarni and Mahesh Manjrekar are part of the shoot.

MGR shooting in Palani

The shooting of 'Madha Gaja Raja' starring Vishal directed by Sundar C has resumed and is going on in full swing. The film faced few hiccups with the story being revised and Karthika opting out. All the problems having been sorted out, Taapsee has joined the board and the shooting is happening at a brisk pace in Palani. Santhanam adds to the humour quotient in the film. The team will be shooting in Palani for a week and then move to Pollachi to can some scenes and a song.

Nitin Sathyaa of 'Satham Podathey' fame is the latest to join the team. He has been offered a significant role in the film. The actor is happy to join hands with Sundar C and Vishal.

Malayalam blockbuster in Tamil

Traffic a blockbuster in Malayalam released last year is remade in Tamil. The film is an edge of the seat emotional thriller, based on a road trip from Kochi to Palakkad directed by Rajesh Pillai. The title of the film in Tamil is yet to be announced. The film has an ensemble cast of Sarathkumar, Radhika Sarath Kumar, Cheran, Prakashraj, Prasanna, Nasser, Rohini, Ramya Nambeesan.

The film had a formal launch last week. Parvathi of ‘Poo’ fame who will join with Dhanush for Mariyaan is also part of the cast.The film will be directed by Shaheed Khader in Tamil. The film will go on floors from July.
