Superstar’s ‘Kochadaiyaan’ is one of the most expected film and the first of its kind which is shot using motion capture in 3D. Rajni will be sporting a double role in this period flick. The legendary actor will play the role of a father and son. The film revolves around a war that is happening through the generations.

The war begins with three kings Rajni (father), Nasser and Jackie Shroff continues over the next generation where Rajni (son) fights with Aadhi (Jackie’s son). What led to the war initially and who succeeds finally forms the crux of the film.

The animation and post production work of the film is currently in progress. Directed by Soundarya, the film also has Sarathkumar, Shobana and Rukmini Vijayakumar in lead roles. Music by A.R. Rahman.

Vishwaroopam gets into trouble?

Kamal and controversy go hand in hand. The latest to join the list is his magnum opus Viswaroopam. Most of its films starting from Devarmagan, Dasavatharam to Manmadhan Ambu have faced their share of controversy in some regard. This time the film faces trouble in the form of its title 'Vishwaroopam' which is a Sanskrit word. Hindu Makkal Katchi has raised objections about the film not having a Tamil title espcially from an actor who has so much of love for the language.

Late actor Jai Shankar in Gautham's film

Gautham and Suriya who are joining hands for the third time for ‘Thuppariyum Anand’ recently confirmed the project. The film touted to be a period flick set in the 30’s is a detective thriller. Surya plays the detective who will be investigating a series of murders. The latest buzz is veteran actor, the late Jaishankar who was known as the Southern James Bond in his heydays in Kollywood is buzzed to appear in the film in a significant role.

News doing the rounds is that the director is planning to bring back the veteran as part of his film. It is however not sure whether the director will be using some scenes from the late actor’s films or employ graphics to recreate the character. The film will go on floors in the beginning of 2013 after Gautham completes Yohan.

Kamal to boost up Vallinam

Vallinam starring Nakul and Mridula directed by Arivazhagan of ‘Eeram’ fame is a film based on sports. Nakul plays a basket ball player. Thaman is set to score the music for the film. The film has five tracks and four tracks have been recorded so far. STR, Thaman, Andrea and Nakul each have sung a song. The director however preferred to have Kamal Hassan to sing the last track.

The song which is sort of an energy booster will appear in the climax scene which is a breath-taking basketball match finals. The director felt that the veteran’s voice would be apt for the song and had approached Kamal expressing his wish. Kamal is said to have agreed to croon his voice.

The Dark Knight Rises - New Trailer

The Dark Knight Rises is the third and last installment of the Batman franchise directed by Chirtopher Nolan. Batman is back and is once again standing face to face with the enemies of Gotham City. The film promises a lot more action. A new trailer from the film was recently released. The trailer has an extended look of the scenes which have already featured in the previous trailers. It has some additional footage and more dialogues. The film is set to hit the screens on July 20.
