Ileana D'cruz to star opposite Akshay Kumar in Rustom

Akshay Kumar and director Neeraj Pandey have joined hands for the third time, for a romantic-thriller titled ‘Rustom’. Based on real life incidents, the film marks the debut of director Tinu Desai.

Shooting for the film will kick-start in UK early next year. Portions of the film will be shot in India, Europe and a few other international locales. Recent development about the shoot, state that Ileana D’cruz will play the female lead opposite Akshay.

While Akshay Kumar has two big releases in first half of 2016, ‘Airlift’ and ‘Houseful 3’, the makers of ‘Rustom’ are reportedly looking for an Independence Day 2016 release. The film that is set in the 1950’s will see Akshay in a different avatar where he will don flared pants, charcoal tie and cardigans. The actor will also use prosthetics for this role.
