Samantha has been hitting the headlines ever since she walked out of Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal'. Her decision has shocked the entire industry as everyone yearns to be part of the legendary director's film. Samantha who felt bad about losing the prestigious project due to date issues has however seemed happy to have bagged a plum role in Shankar's next untitled film with Vikram which is expected to go on floors shortly. The busy actress is said to have been offered a big sum for her role as she has allotted bulk dates for the project.

Dhanush in disguise

Dhanush is very keen on his Bollywood debut with Raanjhnaa and is putting in all effort to play his character right. The actor being a thorough professional has been visiting Varnasi in disguise on and off to get a better picture of his character. Dhanush is playing a role of a Brahmin boy from Varnasi and has been observing people and their accent.

The Kolaveri star is not familiar with the language is also learning the language with the help of a tutor. Sonam Kapoor plays his love interest. The film is directed by Anand L Rai and A.R. Rahman is set to score the music. The film is expected to go on floors shortly.

Nayanthara not in Kadal

Nayanthara being approached for a role in Mani Ratnam's Kadal is the latest rumour doing the rounds in K-Town. Nayanthara who is part of big projects in Tamil and Telugu after her comeback is said to have been considered for a significant role and the hot actress is likely to go on board. According to reliable sources, the entire news is nothing but baseless rumour. Mani Ratnam is currently focussing on resuming his film with the new female lead which is likely to be Radha's daughter Tulasi.

Flight starring Denzel Washington is directed by Robert Zemeckis of 'Cast Away' fame and written by Real Steel's John Gatins. Denzel plays a pilot who manages to crash-land a jet saving lives in the process.  The story seems to be split between the horrific plane crash and the aftermath, which involves an investigation of the incident. The film will be out in November.
