Veteran actor 'Kaka' Radhakrishnan (86) passed away yesterday due to prolonged illness.
Vishal to romance two hotties!!!
Vishal's first film with Sundar C titled 'Madha Gaja Raja' which started rolling recently couldn't take off further with the leading lady's decision to walk out. Karthika who was roped in to play the lead opposite Vishal, opted out as the director had revised the script which demanded two female leads.
After Karthika's walk out, the team was in the lookout for 2 suitable heroines for the film. Finally it is Taapsee Paanu who had bagged the role while Varalakshmi who shares a good rapport with Vishal has been offered the second lead. Vishal has wrapped up the shooting of Samar directed by Thiru which is set to release in July.
Vishwaroopam Photoshoot
Kamal Hassan is happy with the overwhelming response for the first glimpse of his magnum opus 'Vishwaroopam'. The versatile actor is getting ready for a special photo shoot for Vishwaroopam today to be taken by popular celebrity photographer G Venkatram.
Vetrimaran and G.V. Prakash do a 'cameo'
Vetrimaran and G.V. Prakash have appeared in a cameo in 'Naan Rajavaga Pogiren' starring Nakul and model-turned actress Avani Modi. The film is directed by Prithiviraj Kumar who was a former assisstnat to Vetrimaran. Vetrimaran is penning the dialogues for the film and music is scored by G.V. Prakash. The duo had appeared as judges for a cultural event happening in a college, playing themselves. Velraj who handles the camera has also done a cameo.
STR and Rahman?
STR who is busy acting in other films has not shelved the idea of making a sequel to the blockbuster hit romatic thriller 'Manmadhan' which was released in 2004. Simbu had played a double role and following the success, the actor had decided to go on with a sequel 'Manmadhan 2'. Simbu is set to act, direct and produce the film as well. He has penned the script and is hoping to rope in the musical legend A.R. Rahman. Rajiv Menon will be the cinematographer for this project.
The actor is said to have been talks with the music maestro who had created magical waves with his tracks in Vinnai Thandi Varuvaaya. Rahman is yet to give a final nod and everything seems to be in the initial stages.
KB watches Vishwaroopam Trailer
The veteran director and mentor of Kamal Haasan had recently watched the trailer of Vishwaroopam along with Kamal Hassan. The director had congratulated Kamal after watching the trailer.
