OK Kanmani takes US Box Office by Storm

Mani Ratnam's OK Kanmani which released on April 17, has been received with a positive response. The movie, which attracts the elite & A center fans, is doing great business abroad. In the USA, the movie has created a record in opening weekend collection.

OK Kanmani's Tamil version alone had collected ($615,968) from 175 screens across USA in its opening weekend. This is highest and best collection for a Mani Ratnam movie in recent times. His previous Kadal movie had collected $71667 from the reported screens. OK Kanmani's becomes the second highest in the opening weekend in USA for 2015.  The movie beats Yennai Arindhaal's 5 days opening weekend collections ( $480,432) in USA and stands next to "I" ($697,346) this year . 

The huge collection is just the reflection of how good the word of mouth can favor a movie. Meanwhile, in TN Box Office the movie's collection had grossed around RS 6.3 crores in the opening weekend.
