Shaam as a cop in Purampokku

Purampokku starring Arya, Vijay Sethupathi, Shaam and Karthika Nair in the lead roles is directed by SP Jhananathan of 'E' and 'Peranmai' fame. The film shooting is progressing at a brisk pace in Chennai. Vijay Sethupathi joined the team for shoot from this schedule. All the four lead actors are part of this schedule. Purampokku is produced by UTV jointly with SP Jhananathan's Binary Pictures.

Shaam plays a cop in Purampokku. In an recent interview, Shaam talks about his character in the film. He had said, "My character name is Maculay. I play a cop who totally believes in the law.  I come to India to serve the country after finishing my studies in London. The conflict between Arya and me is something new, what he believes in being opposed to my ideology in the film."
