Velaikkaran - 2 weeks Boxoffice Report

Velaikkaran completes 2 weeks in theaters and enters Week 3 with a majority of its screens intact. It'll hold fort till Jan 11. The 2-weeks total TN gross is around 54 CR, with the Chennai city gross being 8.03 CR. All these are terrific numbers, more so for a young hero like Sivakarthikeyan. Outside Rajini, Vijay and Ajith's films, such numbers aren't seen often among the other heroes.

Even more impressive is the fact that Velaikkaran has grossed close to 3 Mil $ in the overseas space. Though Kerala and Karnataka haven't done all that great, the WW gross of the film is close to 80 CR, a whopping number for Sivakarthikeyan and by far his career best. We have to see how much more the film can do, with the Pongal releases just a week away now.
