Not a great remake
The main problem with 'Nagavalli' is that the director has not been able to hold the audience's interest throughout the first half. The second half gains a little momentum but when the suspense starts unravelling, the director again falters and the pace becomes slow again. (more)

The science versus tradition/superstition dialogues are easy to follow. Since this is a film involving dialogues between the doctor and the siddhanti, it could have become philosophical but the director and the dialogue writers keep it within the realm of the common man. (more)
