Revenge Drama

Vijaya Bhaskar is known for directing films that blend love, humor and sentiment in the right proportions. For the first time he has dealt with revenge story in this film. But the comedy in the film is given lot of footage. Screenplay should have been better. Though the comedy is entertaining, the purpose of the lead man taking revenge was not projected in an effective way.(more)

Lackluster drama

There is a difference between small budget love theme and big budget action drama. Writers like Paruchuri brothers wrote for many Chiranjeevi's films and were known for longish dialogue. Here, what ever one liners we come across are all artificial repartees, except in some scenes of child sentiment.(more)

A powerful package

Director K Vijaya Bhaskar, the smart veteran that he is, has done the best thing. He has given full way to Chiru's undoubted talents and resplendent skills. Chiru has done it all, and shines especially in comedy sequences. His timing is something that, well going back to Tendulkar analogy, only the master blaster with a bat in his hand could match(more)

Trivikrama nd Vijay Bhaskar are well-known for their hilarious love stories told in lighter vein laced with the correct sentiments. But with Jai Chiranjeeva they end up with egg on their face as they try to dabble in something which they are not familiar. Added to that they have tried to invoke the spirit of �Anjeneya� and dip into Hindu mythology to draw parallels and give a superman image to the already larger-than-life image of the hero. (more)
