Worth a watch, but don't try too hard

Compared to other desi horror flicks a la Ramsay Brothers, this one is pretty cool on the effects front. But if you are looking for a story full of gripping suspense (and logic), be warned: The chills are pretty predictable. I am afraid you would still need to look towards Hollywood for quality. (more)

Second half could have been more believable

RAAZ is a well-crafted film that has the right combo required for a psycho-thriller, eerie atmosphere and tuneful music. But a theme like this always has its share of non-believers. In that respect, the response to the film will be mixed. (more)

Could have been better

Vikram Bhatt has dared to be different and made a middle-of-the-road film with strong supernatural overtones. He, however, seems to have taken some inspiration from Hitchcock's eerie style. The film is full of long shot horror sequences marked by over-stretched silences that are broken with spine-chilling sound-effects.(more)
