Not to miss, this
Gadar - Ek Prem Katha, for it's part, comes as a surprise -- because it is a fine mix of beautifully capturing what happened in 1947 in the first half, and completely blowing it out of proportion in the second. (more)

Well made
Gadar is a film with a patriotic theme woven around a touching love story. Uttam Singh's music and Anand Bakshi's lyrics have an earthy feel that gels well with the film's theme. Only violence has been overdone in the second half, which is replete with bomb blasts and pyrotechnics. (more)
