What we have here is a very good story idea; what is lacking is proper cinematic treatment. End result; what could have been an applause worthy effort, just about manages to pass muster thanks in the main to the brilliance in between.(more)

Watchable

If only Karnik had shown more of such subtlety rather than taking the film into repeated bouts of tear-jerking melodrama, 'Heroes' might have been a terrific movie. (more)

Arouses strong patriotic feelings

HEROES is a genuinely well-made film with strong emotions as its trump card. At the box-office, the pre-Diwali dull phase notwithstanding, it has the merits to climb the ladder with a strong word of mouth. The film deserves to be tax-exempted for its noble theme and noble intentions. (more)
