Mohiniyattam Review - A Superior Sequel That Transitions Into a Rib-Tickling Dark Comedy
Mohiniyattam successfully surpasses Bharathanatyam by having multiple layers of humor. From the number of events happening within a span of time to the number of laugh-out-loud moments being offered to the audience through dialogue humor, and satire, everything has increased in this sequel. On the whole, Mohiniyattam is an engaging dark comedy with zero dull moments.(more)

Mohiniyattam quick review: Dark comedy takes over in chaotic family sequel
The sequel builds on that familiar energy, bringing back the same household while introducing a few new faces into the mix. This time, however, director Krishnadas Murali takes a notable turn in tone. Moving away from the feel-good humour of its predecessor, the film leans into darker territory, reworking its quirky core into a dark comedy.(more)
