Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Review

It is one of those mindless fluff kind of date movies, where there is no real conflict, lots of singing and dancing in fancy outfits (as brief as possible for the ladies), some humour which is left to Sunny-Bantu and a show-offy wedding planner (Maniesh Paul) to employ. For its flimsy plot, which the title gives way, it's much too long. One big thing in its favour -- no macho posturing by the guys. SANSKARI KI TULSI KUMARI is an entertainer.

ahshank Khaitan's direction is light-hearted and mainstream. Despite the theme, he has ensured that the film looks as massy as possible. Moreover, the jokes thankfully land as intended and would be appreciated by the audience. The manner in which Sunny develops feelings for Tulsi and the manner in which Ananya and Vikram are confused about what they want makes for a superb watch. The finale is a bit unexpected and works well.(more)

Watching Varun, Janhvi try to make the story work is fun, but frustrating

The core idea of the film, that nobody should have to sacrifice love due to familial pressure, is lost because the families themselves never convince you. The writing by Shashank and Ishita Moitra leans so heavily on the romances that it forgets to build the families who are supposed to shape them.(more)
