Mana Shankaravaraprasad Garu Review

The film starts like a spoof genre, ten minutes was all that was taken to set the carefree tonality of the film. The story arc is heavily adapted from Ajithkumars Viswasam, not the screenplay though. Wafer-thin content, be it the lead pairs separation reasoning or the villains conflict, convenient writing and very minimal substance. What is dense here is the never-ending humour, which happens to be the biggest strength of director Anil Ravipudi and he has carried forward his supremacy in this film as well. The filmmaker is well aware of the audiences pulse, his trademark hilarious moments are present in every single scene, that includes shifting some serious situations into the light-hearted zone.(more)

An enjoyable family drama

This is easily Megastar Chiranjeevis most entertaining avatar post comeback. His minute expressions, comic timing, histrionics, and emotional act will please audiences and fans. The highly engaging first half, Nayanthara and Venkateshs presence, and good music are the other major positives. (more)

Chiranjeevi's comeback party, logic not invited

Chiranjeevi finally looks like he is having fun again, and that joy translates directly to the screen. His comic timing, ease in performance, and relaxed body language make even routine scenes enjoyable. Compared to many star-driven or fan-service films, Anil Ravipudis films do not simply recreate iconic scenes or lean heavily on nostalgia. Instead, he builds situations around the actors strengths and what makes those performances connect. This film is no different. (more)
