Flip, Frivolous, And Not As Much Fun

The final chapter of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is sparked by a bout of Bacchanalian excess triggered by spirited characters who have had a bit too much drink in the course of a Sangeet ceremony laced with a bunch of retro Bollywood numbers. Tongues are loosened, heated and misdirected words are exchanged, and a wedge is threatened to be driven between Rumi and Ray. But, as is the case with most such films, the conflict is followed by a crisis that forces everybody to see things in a fresh light. Between all the froth that it generates and the flashes of inspiration that it taps occasionally, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is a bit like it's a-bit-of-a-mouthful title. It does not flow without a slip or two but does, in the end, make enough sense to pass muster.(more)

Kartik Aaryan & Ananya Panday Starrer Is A Comfort-Watch Rom-Com That Believes In Love & Roots!

Mind you, there is no great performance, but then the characterizations, thematic needs, and director do not give anyone that kind of scope. Kartik Aaryan is apt as the cocky, rather overconfident yet charming Rey, and Ananya Panday is also winsome if not extraordinary. Jackie Shroff gives a different twist to the army man from what he did in TanviThe Great. Neena Gupta rocks as Pinky, and Sapna Sand steals many a scene as the lusty Renu aunty. The rest are okay.(more)
