Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor's multiverse of madness is entertaining
Stree 2 is funny, has some good scares, and is a step forward for the franchise. While Hollywood boasts of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), our made-in-India SCU (Stree Cinematic Universe) also has great potential.(more)

This Rajkummar Rao & Shraddha Kapoor Horror Comedy Follows Fright-And-Fun Formula Faithfully
Heres wishing that the makers had put less tropes and more substance to chortle and shiver about rather than star cameos, post-climax, a post-post climax and so on, besides a stretched second half. But the film does not disappoint as a sequel, or as a member of the horror-comedy fraternity, and thus for value-for-money entertainment.(more)

Rajkummar Rao leads a sequel that's better than the original, Abhishek Banerjee is the highlight
ome starry cameos are sprinkled and bring the house down. Tamannaah Bhatia steals the show the moment she enters the proceedings. What has worked in the favour of Stree 2 is the music, specially Aaj Ki Raat. Where the sequel lacks is the unimaginative cameo by Bhediya (played by Varun Dhawan) in Strees universe. I wish the connection was more elaborate. But credit where its due: Stree 2 is a rare sequel that delivers bang for the buck. And this gem of a line which Jana tells Bhedia, who wants to impress Bickys love interest, Bhediya hai tu bhediya, Animal mat ban. Vanga is logging into his Twitter account as we speak.(more)

Shraddha Kapoor's Film Is Bemusing Than Petrifying
Stree 2 feels rather stodgy and laboured. The attempt to offset the obvious loss of novelty through the means of a gender reversal of the ghost that send the people of Chanderi scurrying for cover does not quite bear fruit. A direct linkage between Bhediya and Stree 2, both directed by Amar Kaushik as parts of the evolving Maddock universe of supernatural films, is established by the appearance in the climax and in a post-credits scene of the feral creature around which the former film revolved. These little sleights are targeted at the committed constituency of filmgoers who lap up horror films. (more)
